Incident Alert categorises between small and larger fires. Keep safe by knowing about larger fires impacting your region well before they reach you. 

Receive timely SMS messages to fires in your area. A link in the SMS will allow you to continue to check the progress of the fire if your phone is web-enabled.

Customise your alerts and locations to protect your family and property.Each community is subtly different and we allow you to modify the alerts depending on the season, location and personal situation.

Registration

When you register, we provide you an initial 100 emails and create your first email alerts for you for fires in your area. Once registered, you can also add SMS and other options, ideal if you are on the school run, in the supermarket or on the way home from work. Incident Alert can give you the additional time needed in your bushfire plan.

Email

envelope and the letter EEmails are sent minutes after a fire being reported and we provide you with 100 free emails on registering. The email contains details of the incident, links to maps and key sites. It doesn't matter if you are at home, at work or at college, we will let you know what is happening in your neighbourhood.

SMS

Mobile Phone for SMS Incident Alert sends SMS text messages to all Australian mobile networks to keep you updated whilst you are on the move. Ideal for the school run, supermarket shop  or for the traveller.

Web enabled phones can continue to check for updates on the fire status using a unique link sent in the original SMS.

Mapping

Map of two DSE fires north & north west of Genoa, East Gippsland Incident Alert provides interactive mapping that have CFA, CFS and DSE fires. On bad fire days with large lists of active fires, it allows you to view what is happening in just your area rather than having to continue to read the entire list.

 

Fire Alerts available on Twitter (updated)

Incident Alert is now sending fire and incident alerts to Twitter. A Twitter account exists for each region as well as an account (@incident_Alert) for larger fires. Regions around Melbourne are now split into two accounts per region. One account is for new fires and one for contained and safe fires.
